bird on branch

She sat perched

On an uneasy branch,

A withered tree

Housing crowded homes

With fledglings chirping for food.

Ma Bird looked around her

In helpless woe,

Not a grain to peck at,

Not even a teeny weenie worm!

How could she?

The worms had formed a union

Learning from the humans!
