YogiA book… the only book change my life. That book is the Autobiography of a yogi. Ever since then, a number of  readers  have read  Autobiography of a yogi. Many of them have been influenced  by that book. This book has revealed many secrets of yoga. This book has introduced many saints to us like Vivekananda , Sri Aurobindo  lives in few lines.

This book  takes us a step towards a new spiritual world. We come to understand that a woman or a man can lead a well established life with  our pattern of thoughts and meditation. And we can take our fruits of meditation at “Aum”to   another  rebirth also.

Let me explain the first secret of mediation at “Aum”.

It is mentioned at 10th page of Autobiography of a yogi.

We can reach our goals and health wealth of our life by meditation at “Aum”. How is it possible ? Here is the answer.

The infinite potency of sound derived from the creative word “Aum” the cosmic vibratory power behind all  atomic energies.

Any  word spoken with clear realization and deep concentration has  a  materializing  value. Loud  or silent repetition of inspiring words has been found effective in chanting and similar systems of  psychotherapy. The secret lies in  stepping up the  vibratory  rate of our minds. So If we think  positively and meditate every day we can change our lives in to healthy prospects.

From the introduction onwards, Yogi kept me so engrossed with his deeply magnetic yet clear language that I was free to complete the book. This is my first experience of entering the world of Spiritualism. And sure it was an enlightening experience. Even more glad this being the first book of the kind.

It starts with Yogananda’s early life and the miraculous events that seem hard to digest initially but slowly starts to make sense as you move on. By the time you finish the book, you will have nothing but an enormous respect for a Yogi who was highly knowledgeable, philosophical, warm with his words, spiritual and who has mastered the art of Kriya Yoga learned from his Gurus.

The book is more of Reasoning, Belief, Gods, Goddesses, Saints, Scientists, Telepathy, etc. Above all its about searching God by way of Self Realization through the art of Kriya Yoga. And when there is mention of God, the author makes sure to encompass all the religious preachings with the same fervour as he does with his own.

There are so many things that are well explained, scientific as well as spiritual. One may not be able to digest each and everything that is written in the book but sure would give it a thought before disapproving.
