A vehicle is not a mere machine. Attaching some finer values to it, it becomes a symbol of our physical security and of course journey. I for one, see my car as my buddy. There is such an amount of trust that pulses mutually when I hold the steering and hit the pedal. Well, the trust has been seldom ruptured, even when I went driving to my hometown barely knowing what driving was. Now its been more than 5 yrs and now my car gels in to my body gracefully to become my extension, one body.

Freak accidents happen once in a while, but none harmful or even remotely so. When I started driving most often saw me in awkward angles with the car. Sometimes, my cousin had to step in to get the vehicle out scratch less or even call out people to slightly lift the vehicle to keep it in a more manageable angle. But no matter how many scowls I have received, I love my car and that has always been given back in the form of safe journeys. I’m not a reckless driver, I cherish my car when I drive.

So today morning when I heard that ugly screeching sound behind my vehicle, I went numb instantly. Confused and afraid, I just couldn’t bear to look behind. I still don’t know,where that wall came from. A moment ago, I’m sure it was not there. And the people who were helping me with reversing the vehicle, stopped at that apt moment to chitchat. Well,to put it bluntly I drove my dear vehicle into a wall outside my relatives’ house. The wall, itself had a peculiar shape. It was straight with a rather bulky bulge on the curve. Now this bulge goes unnoticed by most of the drivers who has ever tried to back their car there. I joined their long line this morning. But no matter how many hits, the bulge remains scratch less as if smiling viciously daring more. I even wonder what they had in it, just concrete or perhaps iron bars!

It was a freak point actually.The people around has been complaining to chop off the concrete a bit so that vehicles can back off safely. Now the residents know and for a new comer like me, the knowledge about the bulging curve came with a hit, a costly price to pay.
