cake and knifeIf division could bring unity

Then, ‘Hail Separatism!’

If breaking up a region could solve problems

Then, ‘Chalo Aur Break Karein!’

Today, it is Telangana.

Tomorrow, it will be something else.

Does division promise development?

Does a divided state guarantee improvement?

Demand for justice is one thing.

Tearing a place apart for selfish satiation is another.

A pity that a state has to be shredded for political gain.

Bringing its inhabitants strife and pain.

How many more states

Will India divide into

Before it is united as one?

How many more regions

Will people diversify into

Before they learn to live as one?

your message echoes to the world, Shail! division is all over the world! It is happening when someone thinks only of his own, just self purpose and sacrifices others so pitifully.

  • Shail Raghuvanshi says:

Thanks James. It is a real pity that people of united India believe that a divided India will achieve success, improvement and achievement.

Thanks Shail for Timely reminder about the problems of division of states. Such efforts lead to unnecessary administrative expenditure and ultimately less funds are alloted for real development. People should resist all such attempts as such division is not necessary for real development to take place. Proper administration can ensure equitable developoment of all regions of the country without any division.

  • Shail Raghuvanshi says:

Thanks Hari. Yes, improvement can be brought about within the system. If every state is going to keep dividing using corruption and lack of advancement as excuses then, God only knows what will happen to the country.

an eye opener to all.. great post!

  • Shail Raghuvanshi says:

Thanks Beyniaz. Even though I don’t live in AP I can understand as an Indian what the people of Andhra are going through. Division and partition always brings pain not necessarily improvement.

  • Shail Raghuvanshi says:

Thanks Zhay. I am glad you appreciate it. We need more people to express their sentiments on this issue. Such demands will only set a precedent. Don’t you think so?
