“Every time I write I put my heart on it until my pen bleeds the truth”.

I was very excited with the launching of our pioneering school paper in titled “Sophia” which means wisdom because I am one of the writers there. Many sleepless nights and stressful days I spent for that said publication. I did bring out all those precious words stored from the deepest part of brain. I even sacrificed my night life, hang out with friends and love dates just to satisfy and impress my boss, my principal.

Day has come for the launching of our first ever school paper, the launching of my pride….. my column hahaha! Which is all about students and parents suggestions, comments and constructive criticism towards school employees. I was tense but very excited because it is my first time to be called as a “writer” which is one of my wildest dream. Suddenly my excitement turned into wondering… wondering why they reacted violently to my column! They convicted me as if I killed any living creature in this world. I felt harassed as if I created a public scandal. They claimed that they were the one who were being tagged there as an irresponsible, lazy and dishonest employees etc. Oops! I mentioned nobody in that column, all were gathered thoughts and opinions not mine….so for those who violently reacted, you are guilty!.

Well, I cannot blame them because truth really hurts..They also cannot blame me because it is not my fault if that is what people see in them as an employees. All I want to share is the truth, all I want  is to let them know what is their status because if  they know they will be aware and if they are aware they will know what to do. Though it isn’t easy for me at least I impress my boss because she believes that if your column will be controversial it only means that your an effective writer. I maybe unintentionally hurt them at least it will make them realize that they must do something about their performance.“Respect and appreciation is an investment to work on, not a demand to ask for”.

Fair, exact and true publication sprinkled with emotions is the best weapon to penetrate in every reader’s heart. Genuine and clean intention is the key to change somebody into a better person and that is what an effective writer should have  even if his pen is bleeding… bleeding the truth…truth which will set us free!
