Heart had begun to melt

Before the first snow had even embraced land

Let alone what will happen to the heart

When snow is actually set to melt……

Heart is basking in the radiance

Of a mild cool season; heaps of leaves;

What’ll follow are chilly winters

Gloomy evenings; heaps of snow…..

So heart tells me

“today’s season is not to come again;

stop grumbling; don’t complain

enjoy the coolness; shed all the pangs”

Harder it is than it may seem

Coming to terms with reality

But heart has decided

To try and befriend:—

That corner fireplace

Those white snowflakes all over me

Piping hot sips of coffee

Let’s see what the winter has in store for me…
