All say love ends after marriage. It was anyways tough for Ria to judge the authenticity of this statement. She was in wedlock with Rishav for five years … and it was an arranged marriage. They were happy nuptials to the world yet there was something missing! However, she never knew what it was!

As time went by, Ria realized that she hardly shared any similarities with Rishav. She was an extrovert girl, confident, good looking, with a pleasing personality, jovial and outgoing by nature. On the other hand, Rishav was an introvert guy, who loved to be confined within himself. He was a talented person with vast general knowledge, a writer, and a poet. Nevertheless, no match to Ria’s expressiveness and did not have much connection with the outer world apart from his professional life.

The difference was slowly creating a distance between them. Ria by virtue of her outgoing nature used to make many friends and tried to shy away from the fact that things were not in place. But it wasn’t easy for Rishav, as he had hardly anyone to share his melancholy or rather can say he never wanted anyone to know that he was lonely. Time went by … there came a period, when they enjoyed parenthood. Their little bundle of joy Aryan, seemed to be the first similarity or may be was their first step to realize that something was common in both. That was their love for their son – Aryan. Ria got too involved with her son and could hardly spare any time for Rishav. Rishav however, never revealed his feelings to Ria, even if he was feeling forlorn from inside. Time elapsed like that and after three more years, their second son Aayush was born.

Ria always had the realization that even if there was nothing much common between them yet she was always honest to him, she felt being dishonest would be a major injustice from her end. She kept herself busy in own world, with friends, cousins, kids, shopping and everything else that made her happy. She however never realized that these were momentary elements of joy but the real happiness was still missing. Rishav meanwhile saw Ria busy in her own world and refrained from disturbing her. He however was in a quandary about what should he do? After all his world revolved around Ria and the kids. He eventually started to write a book on the anecdotes of his campus life. He never had a love life but he thought of enjoying one in his imagination. He purposely added a fictitious character in his story, as his girlfriend in campus and described a love affair that never ever happened! The fictitious character was a reflection of Ria, which helped Rishav to express the intensity of his love, which otherwise he himself too never realized.

Ria read the manuscript every now and then and with time things started to change. Ria realized Rishav, the writer was so different than the actual Rishav. On the other hand, may be the writer in Rishav brought out the real Rishav! Soon both of them started to spend quality time together, exchanging thought. Ria felt Rishav became much more expressive, pampering, admiring and started complementing Ria, which she was craving for last five years. Soon they realized that their tastes were not so different from each other. Slowly more commonality surfaced, and the closeness increased. Ria started to suggest Rishav how to make the book even better. She helped Rishav to pen down how the lovebirds in the story started to become intimate, their moments of joy, sorrow, and their moments of ardour.  Soon both of them got so involved into the characters they felt as if things were happening in real!

Then one day Rishav gave an unusual proposal. Rishav told Ria that he wants to start everything afresh. “Let us assume ourselves as unmarried couples and feel the passion like the characters in my book!” He revealed his feeling that he felt was in deep love and shared the madness, which usually a boyfriend demonstrates before a girlfriend! Ria was astonished by the proposal, but agreed to start everything all over again.

Things started to fall in place soon. Frankly speaking, this idea of boyfriend – girlfriend was funny but it started to work well. They started to explore a happier life, they started to text each other frequently, at times just to say miss u! Ria started to text him regularly to express each and every incident happening around her. This in no time intensified their affair. One day the movie Titanic was coming on TV. Ria was watching the same as Rishav was away on a tour. When the heroine of the movie made her appearance, Ria felt uneasy, almost haunted. Soon she remembered that once Rishav revealed that he likes Kate as an actress. Ria grabbed her  cell phone and immediately started texting Rishav – Hey lover boy … u know wht? I dnt like Kate … wonder wht u like in her! L

Soon there was a beep on Ria’s cell phone. She checked it and chuckled after seeing the reply – I 2 don’t like Kate J I only luv my gal my baby – Ria could not stop smiling reading that and thought how can a person be as sweet as Rishav!

With time, they started to make frequent day trips to near by tourist spots, leaving the kids back at home. The idea was to spend some quality time together.

One fine day Rishav surprised Ria, when he handed over two return tickets to Maldives. Ria was astonished seeing that as one of her dreams was coming true. She loved beaches and Rishav knew the same. In addition, Maldives is an exotic location for perfect romance. They left the kids back home and were off to the island for a three nights – four days trip.

In Maldives, in the evening both laid on the beach, side by side; hand in hand; gazing at the stars above. After a while Rishav asked Ria to stand up. She was little surprised yet she followed what Rishav asked. When she finally stood, she was spellbound to see Rishav kneeling in front of her offering her a small gift-wrap.

When she opened the wrap, she found a platinum chain inside. She was delighted to the core and at the same time astonished to see the gift. Then she nodded her head asking for an explanation. Rishav smiled and uttered those magical words – “Will you please REMARRY me?” Ria froze there, only tears rolled down and a smile was on her face.

Seconds later Ria found Rishav waiting for a reply still on his knees, she put her hand forward and helped Rishav to get back on his feet. Then she hugged him with passion and whispered in his ears – “Yes!” Then it seemed as time stood still and it was only the couple and the waves that was moving! They fell in love once again and during the next two days they were enjoying there second honeymoon in Maldives.

Rishav and Ria knew it is a truth when all say – same minds attract each other but truly speaking different mind mesmerizes!

“Different mind mesmerizes” is so true…it reminds me of a cartoon that said that if two people agree with each other on everything, one of them would not be needed :)
