From onset to sunset,
As the sun went down
And as it again showed up
As the whole world slept
And again woke up
Just for you I waited…
The moon went through its phases
The tides changed their faces
There was something that I awaited,
Yes- for you I waited.
Trains came and trains passed by
Everyone looked at me- all passers by
But I-
I didn’t budge; I didn’t grudge
I just stood still
Awaiting the moment when my heart would get spilled…
…by just one sign; just a single knock
one glance; or a sheer whiff…
Till when I waited for you?
Not even my heart knew.
Hope was all I had in me,
Till as far as I could see.
With that hope I waited,
And I waited for you till eternity……
