The New Dweller

It has happened!

In that brief union of sperm and ova

The new seed has taken root

It hides in the gurgling security

Of a strange cave, working at its formation

Taking time to form one whole piece,

Imagine! Even this tiny seed works!

Red ribbons, little pink frocks,

Twirling of tiny fingers in the fertile air,

The wails, the washing of stained napkins,

I don’t know whether I want them sometimes.

And yet, I long to hold a part of me

Separate yet united, different yet bonded.

Fun and Play

My days stretch out without an end,

Every hour an incessant wait

For an occasion to celebrate

Each minute an expectant time

To freak out on a ‘period less’ life

All I do is sit, squat and sigh

Awaiting a moment, SOME moment, to let go

To get freed from the constraints

Of a bulging womb and fears,

Tiny ones, wage wars in my mind

Even as I wrestle with changes in lifestyle,

No this, no that

Very much of this and a lot of that!

Honestly, I had thought the whole process

Was fun and play!
