A place packed with total noise,

There one sees bags of small and big size…..

Completely overboard with chaos n confusion,

On the look of everyone there, you will find a question…..

Time and again they rack their brain

Asking each other— “ When will arrive this much awaited train?”

This is one place buzzing with activity,

Where trains come n go in an amazing jiffy.

When trains come there’s literally a hailstorm,

It’s none other than a railway platform!

Some are busy studying railway time table,

Asking authorities– “Is this train late in its arrival?”

Some just stare at the time table,

–That big chart makes them uncomfortable

They try to make its head and tail,

But somehow they just fail…..

Although benches are meant to sit,

Some of them just want to fidget,

Every other minute they cross check their ticket!

Impatiently they stroll up and down,

Their faces bear a big frown.

Every train whistle that they hear,

They give a sigh of relief—

“Ah! At last my train is here!”

In some other corner

Are scattered more travelers,

Who just don’t want to bother……

The clock shows what time they hardly see,

as they are too engrossed in drinking their tea….

While the confused lot run from pillar to post,

Others are eating their hot crunchy toast….

Still others enjoy a chocolate munch,

Some carefree souls are having a sumptuous lunch!…..

On one hand there are a few who constantly whine,

Others get their shoes polished to bring it a shine!

Finally when train arrives

There’s hustle bustle

Who will get down or board first,

There’s always this tussle!

That time on the station there’s a huge rush,

And against each other shoulders brush!

Amidst people who off and on Yawn,

Whether it is noon, dusk or Dawn

Always alive and kicking is a railway platform……..!!!
